Following high school, Richard joined the United States Air Force and honorably served his country from August 7, 1959 until August 4, 1967. Ultimately, he was a Staff Sergeant working as an Airplane Mechanic.
Richard’s passion for fixing things carried over into his career in Machine Repair at General Motors for 22 years. He also enjoyed tinkering around with various things that needed building or fixing around the house. He could be a perfectionist and always needed something to do with his hands. Richard also liked NASCAR and watching or attending car shows.
Richard will be remembered as a quiet, simple man with appreciation for a job well done. He is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
