Kathy was a valiant accomplished woman. Upon graduating from Lutheran East High School Kathy earned her license as a cosmetologist which she kept current to the day. She earned her associate’s degree in business, and went on to work in the banking industry, holding many different positions in her career. In her free time Kathy enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was versed in writing short poems and enjoyed drawing as well. She also enjoyed capturing memories with pictures, and illustrating them in artful scrapbooks. Kathy, herself, was a Girl Scout and was very active in the organization with her daughter, Kimberly, a Scout as well, as a Scout Leader. Her favorite Girl Scout cookie is the “Thin Mint” and her secret was to keep them in the freezer and enjoy them frozen. She was a member of the St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Eastpointe, and was very active in the church volunteering her time. Kathy enjoyed taking trips down South to Florida where she enjoyed visiting her family and vacationing. Though she didn’t play the sport Kathy also enjoyed watching golf on the television. Kathy loved animals. She was especially fond of her Toy Poodle, Nanette and caring for the cats with her husband Jim. Kathy loved everyone, and everyone loved her. She will be missed.
