Abram, Kinga (Kay) Alexandria

Kay was born on May 24, 1924 in New Salem, Pennsylvania to Charles and Marianna Abram.
She was employed at Chrysler for a period of time while taking good care of her parents until their passing. Later in life, she returned to school and graduated from Marygrove College.

Kay worked as a Teacher in the Grosse Pointe School system for many, many years. Generations of students and others came to know Kay by her infectious smile, clear voice, small stature and powerful personality. Kay loved the children she interacted with, and that love was returned regularly as she was recognized wherever she appeared around the community.

Kay was a fixture at Our Lady Star of the Sea parish from her years of teaching, working in the office, volunteering for everything she was capable of, and her legendary sales of raffle tickets. She was a member of the Ushers Club, the Rosary Alter Society, a Eucharistic Minister, a Lector.

Kay has no known living relatives, but many good friends in a community that has loved her. She passed away on Thursday evening, August 29, 2019, (95 Years old)

A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea, at 8:30 am with Mass at 9:00 am. A reception with refreshments will be held immediately after in ‘The Pointe’.
