Obituary

Rhoda Ann Plaza (nee Robinson) age 77 of St. Clair Shores, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 12, 2018 at the age of 77. She was born in Detroit on January 26, 1941 to the late William and Mable Robinson.

Rhoda was a paralegal in the Metro Detroit area for many years, and was always known to be a fantastic cook. Although she had many qualities, Rhoda’s faith defined her most. She was a member of The Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Detroit and Knox Presbyterian Church in Clinton Township. She was committed to her life as a child of God, and was always following the word of the Lord.

Rhoda is the beloved wife of, Thomas Plaza. Dearest mother of John (Margaret) Abdenour, David (Andrea) Abdenour, Michael (Jamie) Abdenour. Proud grandmother of Ashley, Kaitlin, Emily, Megan, Jessica, and Michael. Loving great-grandmother of little John. Dearest sister of Kathleen (David) Makalusky.

The family welcomes friends and neighbors on Monday, March 19th to the A.H. Peters Funeral Home of Grosse Pointe Woods, 20705 Mack Avenue (at Vernier) from 3:30-9pm with a funeral service scheduled at 7pm the same evening. Pastor James Moscow of Knox Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment, The Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Detroit.
