Obituary

Bill Clay passed away on February 10, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born on June 15, 1952; son of Robert and Aurora (nee Lucarelli) Clay.

Bill graduated from Detroit Osborne High School in 1970. After High School, Bill served proudly in the United States Navy aboard the USS Guadalupe during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge in 1975, Bill moved to the suburbs of Denver, Colorado where he was employed as a lighting technician for the Red Rocks Theater. He moved back to Michigan in 1980 working for the shipping and receiving department at Upton’s. He later worked at the Chrysler plant in Marysville until his recent retirement.

Bill was a member of the Eagle’s and Amvet’s in St. Clair Shores. He will be remembered for his fun loving nature. In his spare time, Bill was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding his bike and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his father Robert and brother David F. Clay. He will be missed by his loving mother Aurora and sisters Janice Clay and Sandra Eller (Kirk). He was proud oh his nephews Gary and Ryan, and niece Ashlynn.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 19th from 4:00 pm until the time of his memorial service at 6:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. His service will conclude with military honors.
