She was born on Thursday, December 4, 1941 to Lambert and Pauline (nee Phaneuf) in Detroit, Michigan. She attended St. Clement High School where she graduated in 1960. Barbara worked for Chrysler as an inspector, a career she enjoyed for over 30 years. During her time at Chrysler and even after her retirement Barbara was very active with her Local UAW union hall.
Barbara enjoyed traveling. She managed to visited all 50 states, and after seeing them all she could easily say that Alaska was her favorite. She also loved going on cruises to both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. After her retirement, Barbara made several trips to Europe and never missed an opportunity to visit Disney World. Barbara was a very talented crafter, especially when it came to crocheting; her specialty was the throw blankets she made for everyone she knew.
Barbara is survived by her daughters,Carol(Mickey) Barker, and Michelle (David Webb) Beaulieu. She is the treasured grandmother of Michael, Christopher (Amanda), Matthew, Joseph, Lucas, Shelby and Joshua, and great-grandmother of Kayla and Ryder. Dear sister of Ronald (Julie) Peters, Shirley (Paul) Cozort, and Richard Peters, and cousins whom she loved like siblings Pat Hayes and Melva Farmer. Godmother of Ronald Abramowicz. She also loved her grand-puppies Gracie, Gabby and Bella. She will also be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Memorial service for Barbara will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren. Her family will be receiving friends and visitors starting at 10:00 AM until the time of service
